Charlotte Tilbury Uptown Girl Palette Review

100_1270

Ever since Charlotte Tilbury launched her collection in the UK, I have been absolutely dying to try her eye shadows. From the packaging, to the colors, to the formula reviews, these shadows have lived in the back of my mind. So for Christmas my amazing mom ordered me this gorgeous entity – it just had to be mine.

So one lost package and a week after Christmas it finally appeared on my doorstep, ready to be swatched and painted on my face. And boy, does Charlotte deliver.

The top left color is a pale pinky-gold color, perfect for inner corner and brow highlighting. The top right shade is a silvery-taupe color with some purple undertones. The lower right color is a deep and muted purple; it’s basically a darker version of the previously mentioned shade. Finally, the lower left shade is a pink and silver glitter; not much color payoff but it layers beautifully.

I tend to fall for cool tones over warm tones, so this color combination is right up my alley! I find that the shadows are incredibly soft and very pigmented. The only fault I can find is sometimes the top right color can rub off when I am applying a crease or outer V shade. Not a deal-breaker or anything, but it’s good to note.

All in all I am definitely interested in purchasing another Charlotte Tilbury quad – but maybe more towards the spring-time since I just ordered the new Nars Dual Intensity palette (oops).

They’re definitely splurge-worthy but I’ll have to contain myself for a few months before making another purchase. And she’s a peach 🙂

This palette! This is the one I’ve been eyeing :o) It will be in my makeup drawer before long… LOL. I’d love to see a LOTD using this if you get the chance :o)
And, I can’t wait to see the NARS palette. I *just* bought two singles right before they released the palette. Oh well. I guess it’s good reason for showing some composure.
    Hope your day is great!

Ahhh it’s so wonderful!! And I will definitely do a LOTD, I just need to figure out a good lighting situation first 🙂 The NARS palette is so gorgeous too! The shadows are buttery and pigmented, I’ll have to get my post up soon so everyone can see if they’re into it or not! And at least you get more product with the singles 🙂
